CarFlow is built by Luminest LLC. This page explains how to delete your CarFlow account and all of its data, or how to delete specific records while keeping your account. This is how we honor your right to erasure under the GDPR and similar laws.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: In the app
- Open the CarFlow app on your device (Android, iOS, or Windows).
- Tap the Settings icon (gear) in the navigation.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation prompt and tap Confirm Delete.
- Your account is deactivated right away, and all data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Option 2: By email
If you cannot reach the app, email support@carflow.vin with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include:
- The email address on your CarFlow account.
- Your business name, if you have one.
We verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days. You will get a confirmation email when it is done.
Delete Specific Data (Keep Your Account)
You can ask us to delete specific records and keep your account active. Email support@carflow.vin with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and tell us what to delete:
- Vehicle records — specific vehicles and their repair tasks, photos, and cost data.
- Photos and documents — specific vehicle photos, receipt images, title photos, or uploads.
- Vendor records — specific vendor profiles and their spending history.
- Location data — GPS metadata attached to your uploaded photos.
- Analytics data — your identifiable usage events.
We process partial-deletion requests within 30 days.
Data That Is Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following from our systems:

| Vehicle data | All vehicle records (VIN, make/model, purchase and sale prices, pipeline status, notes, arbitration records) |
| Repair tasks | All repair-task records, status history, cost breakdowns, vendor assignments |
| Photos and documents | All vehicle photos, before/after images, receipt images, title photos, arbitration photos and videos, and uploaded PDFs |
| Location data | GPS coordinates embedded in photo metadata |
| Financial data | Purchase costs, repair costs, sale prices, profit figures, and receipt scan data |
| Vendor data | Vendor profiles, contact info, spending history |
| Team data | Team membership, invite codes, role assignments |
| Device identifiers | Push-notification tokens and your Firebase user ID |
| Billing data | Subscription status, plan details, seat-usage records |
Data That Is Retained
We may keep the following after account deletion:
- Anonymized analytics: aggregated usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you.
- Crash logs: de-identified reports used for app stability. They hold no personal information.
- Stripe payment records: payment history kept by Stripe under its privacy policy and financial regulations. Luminest never stores your card details.
- Legal obligations: data we are required to keep by law, or to resolve an active dispute, held only until the obligation ends.
Retention Timeline
- Immediately: your account is deactivated and you can no longer sign in.
- Within 30 days: all personal and business data is permanently deleted from Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage.
- Within 90 days: data in automated backups is purged.
Business Owner Accounts
If you are the Owner of a CarFlow workspace:
- Deleting your account also deletes the whole business workspace, including all vehicle, task, and vendor data.
- Team members lose access to the workspace. Their individual CarFlow accounts stay active but unlinked.
- Export anything you need first (Reports, Export as PDF/CSV) before you request deletion.
- Active subscriptions are cancelled automatically.
